
Omar Frangie was born in 1980, Zgharta. He attended the Dar en Nour School at Koura and then the Notre Dame University at Zouk Mosbeh, Kesrouan, where he graduated in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Communications Art (Radio/TV & Film).
Since an early age he has had a love for the visual arts which explains his great interest in photography. His portfolio of photographs consists of portraits, landscapes and still life taken over the years. Depending on what he is photographing he uses a variety of cameras such as the Nikon D70 and D2X, Mamiya Rz69 and Canon A1.
In 2004 he joined Impact BBDO, Beirut as a Television Producer and in the same year he was appointed Director of the Ehden Cinenaiyat.
Omar lives in Zouk Mosbeh, Kesroun, a coastal area 15 km north of Beirut during the week with most weekends spent in Zgharta -Ehden. He says of Ehden and the surrounding area that it is a huge colour palette and it is the inspiration of his photographs.
